FOOD TOURISM EVENT
DineYard by the Lake is a new food tourism event by The Cottage Market Cavan, featuring the stunning Annagh Lake, a locally inspired menu, live music, and activities for both children and adults. To make it extra special, we partnered with Cavan Sports Partnership and their HER Outdoors campaign to motivate everyone to embrace outdoor activities – please see all elements of the event listed below. Please note some elements need to be pre-order/booked to avoid disappointment.
Local Inspired Brunch Menu created with the freshest produce from The Local Green Box Cavan! To help us plan and prevent food waste, we kindly ask that you preorder to avoid disappointment.
Yoga & Dip: Relaxing 45-minute Yoga session with a qualified Yoga instructor Noeleen Shannon, followed by a refreshing dip in Annagh lake supervised by a lifeguard.
Stand up Paddleboarding: Take to the water on stand-up paddleboards for a fun session under the supervision of the experienced ‘Jolly paddler’ instructors.
Plunge and Sauna: Experience the ultimate relaxation with Live Lagom lake plunge and sauna sessions!
NEW!! Cavan Jam Circle: An easy-going jam session, playing all sorts of music and welcoming musicians and singers from all corners of Cavan! Spread the word folks!
Field Games: Join Claire for an action-packed afternoon of Field Games! Dive into skip ropes, parachutes, ball games, bean bag tosses, hula hoops, and more. Drop in anytime between 1 – 4 pm for non-stop fun and excitement!
Bushcraft: Join Steve with Bushcraft from Outback Dad! Steve will begin with foraging for wild edibles, exploring their uses for food, medicine, and tonics. In the second half of the session, the focus is on fire-making, demonstrating various techniques and their uses, culminating in a bow drill fire demonstration (Stone Age technology). Crowd participation is encouraged throughout, but children will need supervision when dealing with fire. Bushcraft sessions will be held on the hour, every hour.
