Cavan’s Christmas festivities will kick off on Sat 2nd & Sun 3rd December, 1 – 7pm with a market which promises to be packed full of Cavan’s festive cheer and culture!
More than 60 street vendors specializing in artisan food, crafts, and art will take over Townhall Street, showcasing exceptional talent and skills. Explore an array of delightful Christmas gifts like honey, cheese, cakes, puddings, and locally crafted cordials available from artisan producers on Market Square and indulge in The Cottage Markets growing street food menu at the DineYard, where you can savour both sweet and savoury dishes.
Support your local community this season with a visit to our Craft and Art Marquee. 30 talented, Cavan-based artists, will fill this space with stunning gifts, from handmade wreaths, knitwear, and jewellery to candles, paintings, soaps, leather goods, and more.
Music and entertainment will be provided by a host of Cavan musicians and our outdoor seating area will create the perfect opportunity for locals and visitors to experience the culture and community spirit that exists in our county. Do not miss Cavan Community Gardaí, Cavan’s Little Blue Heroes and Santa to switch on the Christmas lights at 4pm on Saturday the 2nd of December and be sure to catch the captivating Live Street Performances on Townhall Street, a new addition to this year’s Christmas Market.
