The Cottage Market Cavan is bringing a new kind of evening experience to the Townhall Arts Centre – one that blends storytelling, local food and real community connection.
Starting with Theatre
At the heart of the evening is What Are We Eatin’ Anyways?, a 40-minute comedy-drama that follows Jimmy and Bernie as they navigate everyday food choices. Through humour and relatable moments, the performance explores how our food decisions connect to local producers, the environment and the wider community.

A Seasonal Food Experience (Optional)
Following the performance, guests have the option to enjoy The Local Green Bowl: May Edition – a simple, nourishing dish built around what’s in season right now.
Featuring scallions, mushrooms, kale and wild garlic, alongside barley, mung beans, sourdough and local cheese, the bowl reflects a practical approach to seasonal eating and supporting local producers.
