About Us
We are a social enterprise based in Cavan Town that provides a supportive route to market for small-scale growers, food producers, crafters and artists in County Cavan.
Our mission is to improve the lives of the people living in County Cavan by building a local marketplace that reflects the skills and talents in our community and helps create local futures.

We run a Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter market – each different to the last and representative of the current season.
Online, zero waste, weekly farmers market.
All our menus are created from produce available in The Local Green Box Cavan. This means fresh, local, nutritious and seasonal.
DineYard is a new initiative by The Cottage Market Cavan to bring a unique dining experience to rural locations across Cavan. Each DineYard will feature the cottage market food trailer plus a selection of Cavan food vendors with delicious tasting, local food and drink offerings. There will be special “add-on” performances and demonstrations on the day.
We offer a range of workshops, activities and support to our producers and members of our community. This can range from a training and advisory support package for new and existing food producers or use of our Test and Learn kitchen. Our workshops and activities are delivered by skilled, local people demonstrating grow your own, bushcraft, food fermentation and pickling, foraging, wood carving and more.
A sustainable practice, allowing seasonal, local food to be shared and prevent food waste amongst like-minded people within our community.

Weekly collections take place every Friday in Cavan Town and Ballyconnell.
